Rev. Patricia Riley Calhoun
Rev. Patricia R. Calhoun is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She received her education in the Baltimore City public school system. She later attended Norfolk State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in mental health. She also attended Loyola University studying Pastoral Counseling.
Rev. Calhoun accepted her call to preach at Bethel A.M.E. Church in 1986. She preached her initial sermon. in 1992. Rev. Calhoun was ordained an Itinerate Elder in 1999 at St. Stephen A.M.E. Church in Wilmington, N.C.
Rev. Patricia, as she is affectionately called, has conducted numerous workshops and bible studies centered around women issues. She has been anointed to minister to those who are hurting and seeking comfort.
She has been married to her husband, Presiding Elder Rev. Johnny R. Calhoun for 32 years, together they have pastored four congregations.
Rev. Patricia Calhoun’s favorite scripture is Lamentations 3:21-23. She believes in the power of prayer and the responsibility to love GOD with all of her heart, soul, and mind.
Rev. Calhoun has worked for the State of Maryland at the Department of Juvenile Services for 19 years. She is a member of the Anne Arundel County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Rev. Patricia is the mother of three adult children and grandmother of one granddaughter.
